1 Year Adult Piano Progress. Absolute Beginner, No Prior Piano Experience.
1 year piano progress by a complete beginner. I practised playing the piano for around 280 hours during my first year. My piano progress started self-taught but I soon started working with a teacher.
I am very happy with my first year of piano progress as an adult beginner. In total, I learned 28 actual pieces, not including the exercises from the Adult Piano Adventures book. While my progression may seem slow compared to other one year piano progress videos on YouTube, I believe I have laid a good foundation from which to continue. Especially as I only practised for an hour or less each day.
Shortly after this video was uploaded, I re-recorded Sonatina in C:

One year later, I made a 2 year piano progress video:

Q&A
9:37 Why did I record these videos?
11:25 What do I think about my progress?
12:49 Am I happy with my progress?
14:14 Have I played an instrument before?
16:34 How could you progress faster?
Please note: Sections were removed from Little Sonata, Quadrille, Bagatelle and Rondino in YouTube Studio editor on 9 May 2021. This was to improve the pacing of the video as these pieces dragged on.
All the 60+ pieces I learned during my first year were uploaded on the day I felt I could play them well enough. You can view them all in order using this playlist:

The YouTube piano progress community is incredibly supportive. But, YouTube isn't always the best way to communicate. As such, some of us have established a Discord server where we can get together and discuss our piano journies.
