2019 OPUS Flash Mob - Beethoven's Ode to Joy by 120 Young Musicians
The OPUS Flash Mob 2019 is carefully crafted by the OPUS Board members and its Chamber Music Faculty and Teaching Assistants. The performance of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” by 120 young OPUS campers and teaching assistants with instruments of violin, viola, cello, contrabass, and bell (and timpani) is one of a kind. The project is gratifyingly supported by the staff at North Central College, Naperville, IL. Like other OPUS programs, this project is designed to encourage students to improve their musical skills while at the same time grow socially by promoting friendships in an honest and ethical environment.
OPUS (Orchestra Parents/Patrons' United Support) is an IRS 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization in Naperville, IL operated by talented volunteers. The 2019 chamber Music Camp is OPUS’ 17th annual music camp and is its signature event.
