- now try to generate a tone at 173 Hz and listen to it together with the tone of the video, now the two overlapping sounds generate a kind of amplitude modulation: this means that the two overlapping frequencies are not identical (the volume goes up and down, 1 Hz monaural beat, the difference between 174 and 173 Hz)
