Beach Fishing w/ BIG BAIT! What will we catch? Classic Beach Fishing Methods

This week, we’re breaking out some classic beach fishing methods to target some massive catfish. We are using cut bait as well as some of our Shrimpy Bits to catch some nice, fat fish. In this episode, I want to pay homage to the invention of the spinning reel. These spinning reels are classic and ones that I have restored myself back into working condition. These are really unique because one has a half bail while the other has no bail at all. Let’s see how they hold up to the giant catfish out here!
We’re at the Chesapeake Bay this week, trying to get some fresh air during the quarantine. Fixing up vintage reels is a newfound hobby of mine as it is inexpensive to start, is a great way to prepare for fishing season, and is very rewarding (because you can use what you fix up). Perfect hobby to cure that quarantine boredom.

**When you are going fishing during this pandemic, please make sure you follow state laws and social distancing guidelines. This does not mean “We can meet up to go fishing as long as we stay 6 feet away from each other.” Social distancing means that you should not be in the same vicinity as people who do not live in your household unless absolutely necessary (like when buying groceries). Limit your contact with others as much as possible. Go to remote fishing spots where there are no other people fishing. If you want to go fishing with a friend, we recommend that you each go to your own fishing spots and video call each other. Let’s all help keep each other safe during this uncertain time**
