DIY Shiplap Electric Fireplace Build with Mantel | HGG Home Series

We moved into our new home this year, and our living room had this great big blank wall. I wanted fireplace and have always loved the look of a shiplap fireplace with a rustic, unique mantel. I searched for "barn wood beam mantels" in California and found this amazing company that sells exactly what I wanted! Next was finding that perfect electric fireplace insert. After spending time searching online, I fell in love with a fireplace from ModernBlaze.com.

If you are going to re-create this look, the fireplace size that works best for you will vary based on your ceiling height, wall width, beam size and the size of your fireplace insert. However, here is what we did! :)

Fireplace:
Width - 78.5 inches
Height - 107.5 inches
Depth - 14.5 inches

Beam:
Length - 76 inches
