How to Clear Your Clogged AC Drain Line

In this video, we thoroughly detail the proper way to clear your AC's primary drain line. A clogged primary drain line is our #1 service call in Florida, so this should be done BEFORE it gets clogged; no less than once every 6 months.

Here is a step-by-step procedure to go with the video:
-locate your primary drain line access "Tee" at your indoor unit, and it's termination point outside.
-turn off power to system to prevent unit from running while clearing the drain.
-hook up the vacuum to the drain line at the outside termination/opening and turn it on
-go to the inside unit and remove your drain access cap; wait to hear the shop vac has completed emptying the drain line
-pour down water (~1 gallon) as fast as you can without the drain overflowing
-proceed to turn shop vac off and remove from exterior drain line opening
-dispose of shop vac contaminants and wash your equipment/hands!
*** BE SURE TO POUR WATER DOWN DRAIN LINE AT INSIDE LOCATION UNTIL IT DRAINS OUTSIDE AGAIN! ***
