Next, I take on an unforgettable journey across the stunning Lake Tahoe aboard the Dixie II Tour boat. This two-hour cruise takes us from the Nevada side to the California side, where we'll explore the breathtaking Emerald Bay. As we glide across the crystal-clear waters, take in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the vibrant blue-green hues of the lake.
Emerald Bay, is home to Vikingsholm, Tahoe's hidden castle. Built in 1929 by Lora Josephine Knight, this Scandinavian-style castle is a true architectural gem. Mrs. Knight, inspired by her travels to Scandinavia, brought back ideas to create this unique summer home. As we approach, we'll marvel at the castle's intricate design and its picturesque setting amidst the lush greenery of Emerald Bay.

Scenic Drive on Highway 88
The adventure doesn't end there! The next day, I hit the road and drive along the scenic Highway 88 through the Sierra Mountains. This route offers stunning vistas, winding roads, and a sense of serenity that can only be found in the mountains. I stop at several mountain lakes, each more beautiful than the last, and take in the breathtaking views that this once-in-a-lifetime trip through the Sierra Mountains has to offer.
