Outer Wilds | Andrew Prahlow | Acoustic Cover

I don't usually write too much for these descriptions but I have a feeling this one might go on a bit!

I can't remember if I played Outer Wilds before or during the pandemic, the last few months feel like they have completely distorted my perception of time, which I guess is appropriate given the nature of Outer Wilds.

For those of you who have not played it, I cannot recommend giving Outer Wilds a go highly enough. I rarely get hooked by a video game these days but this was an exception, I got completely emersed in the brilliant story. I just wish I could forget everything I know about it and start over from the beginning.

For me it's the perfect combination of storytelling, gameplay and soundtrack. The latter brilliantly put together by Andrew Prahlow. I've had a go at recreating some of the themes in this video and I hope you enjoy it. I don't think it stays completely true to how any of the original pieces are put together but I suppose that's the beauty of music that can be played by friends sat around a campfire in a forest on a far away planet.

The more observant of you might notice the audio and the video doesn't line up perfectly (bonus points if you spot the mistakes), I had to record the video after recording as my set up doesn't lend itself to allowing me to do both at the same time.

Anyway, what a ramble.

TLDR: Outer Wilds is brilliant, the soundtrack is brilliant. Andrew Prahlow is brilliant. This is my attempt to put something together in my style.
