Sleep Paralysis Noises
Several videos here on youtube inspired me to make my own attempt at reproducing sleep paralysis noises.
Every noise here is either recorded by me or generated using a virtual synth.
I've also incorporated my own breathing and "trying to scream".
It's not 100% accurate - the durations of these noises are hard to judge since the perception of time is totally messed up during sleep paralysis (just like in dreams). I also don't usually hear all of these sounds at once, but I chose to make it more of a collection of noises instead of boring you to death with 2 minutes of buzzing.
For best effect, watch in the dark. With headphones. Tied to your chair. :P
Have fun!

Here's my theory on the origin of the noises:
When trying to sleep while listening to music, I've noticed that it would gradually get unbearably loud after a few minutes and I had to get up and turn the volume down twice.
So apparently, my hearing ability increases when I'm trying to sleep. Or at least it feels like it does.
I think this might be related to the loud noises many people hear during sleep paralysis.
If every sound you hear is amplified, you'll start hearing stuff that usually goes unnoticed, such as the blood going through your ears and your own snoring. Most people also have a ringing in their ears from time to time, that goes away on its own after a while.
So you'll start hearing your own breathing so loudly it sounds like someone else breathing directly into your ear.
The crackling sound your eardrums make when you're yawning (or every time the pressure changes) becomes so loud it sounds like your head is going to explode.
An actual tinnitus might also explain some of this.
Some of the noises could have external causes, like electrical devices in your room (50hz buzz) etc.
What's your opinion on this? No ghost or Jesus stories please! This stuff goes away on its own, whether you pray or not, so this is no valuable evidence or proof! I'd usually just say that prayer won't hurt if it works for you, but this is really a vicious circle.
It goes somewhat like this:
1. You try praying to the deity of your choice because someone on the internet said it helps.
2. It "works" (if the sleep paralysis ends, it MUST'VE BEEN because of the prayer!).
3. If prayer works, it must be DEMONS!!!!11 OH NOES!!!!! Now you're really scared. And the more you're scared, the worse the experience gets - just like walking through a dark alley right after watching a horror movie.
