It is always a sight seeing a train on the BNSF Southern Transcon. The clips shown in this video are from the Amtrak platform in La Plata, Missouri along the BNSF Marceline Subdivision. Many of the Westbound high priority intermodal ‘Z’ trains seen last week during the unofficial La Plata rail celebration are shown in this compilation video. All clips shown were recorded with a tripod and my iPhone. Some of the clips have been recorded while zoomed-out, giving that “fisheye” and close to the train look. It is always a treat Railfanning with kind folks like the ones that were gathered this past week. Especially when trains like this run at track speed.
