Your fireplace is throwing massive amounts of heat straight up the chimney — and in this video, I show you how I fixed that.
In this build, I walk through my custom DIY fireplace heat exchanger made from 1½” black steel pipe, designed to capture wasted heat from a large 42” fireplace and push it back into the room using a simple inline fan. This setup helps burn less firewood, improves heat output, and makes a big difference in an uninsulated enclosed porch.
