► Determine trench depth and width to accommodate channel and backfill, ensuring proper drainage space. Measure trench depth to fit channel height, including the grate, and ensure width allows for 2 inches of backfill on each side.

► Connect channel outlets to three or four-inch drain pipes for effective water diversion. Attach channel outlets to appropriate drain pipes, ensuring proper connection for drainage flow.

► Ensure drain pipes are sloped at least 1/8 inch per foot to facilitate water movement. Maintain a minimum slope of 1/8 inch per foot along drain pipes to ensure efficient drainage.

► Anchor the channel with stakes placed every 24 inches for stability. Secure the channel in place by driving stakes into the ground every 24 inches along its length.

► Secure the grate to the channel using stainless steel screws and complete backfilling for stability. Fasten the drain grate securely to the channel with stainless steel screws to prevent shifting, then finish backfilling the trench for stability.
