My 6 Day Old Baby is Potty TRAINED with Elimination Communication
how I potty my babies from birth: https://godiaperfree.com/go π
I know, it's a little hard to believe that my 6 day old baby uses the TOILET to go to the bathroom, not his diaper. It's a lil somethin called elimination communication, or EC for short, and all babies are capable of this instinct-based practice. This infant potty training example is of a "wake-up pee" - he just woke up and was in the car seat. Did you know? The ADH (anti-diuretic hormone) wears off in all mammals when they way wake up. It's what keeps us clean and dry in the night (or our species would never have made it this far - we would have died out long ago from disease!!). So, when your baby wakes up, offer the potty like this, and see what happens! **I do "handle" my baby - this is my 4th - if that freaks you out, I am sorry! But after spending some time in Africa, I have a very careful but very primal way of handling my babies that actually increases their neck and trunk strength just like the babies I observed there. Only handle your own baby at your own risk ;) ** Oh, and I definitely potty my exclusively breastfed (EBF) babies over my sink. First, it's my sink, and second, it washes down nicely, is easy on my back, has a handy mirror over it so he and I can connect, and I can rinse his bottom with lukewarm water when we're finished (and dab him on the towel instead of using a harsh wipe - super-gentle! ;)
