Traveling by train can be a great experience! But some places are a little easier, and a little more uneventful than others. Vietnam's train service, which runs daily between Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in the south is one of the more eventful train trips you can take. Mostly because, there's just a lot going on that make it quite the journey! From your fellow passengers to the food service and the views, if you're looking for something unique to do while traveling around Vietnam: take the train!
In this episode, Geoff and Alexa take the overnight train from Da Nang to Saigon. All told, this is about a 20 hour trip which means they have quite a bit of time to fully explore what makes Vietnam's train service so unique. And while they're technically in a first class cabin, this particular train service is NOT a luxury train. It's just a normal train that everyday Vietnamese people use to get around their country. So... ALL ABOARD!
