- 38 Γ X-train crossings (2 inputs + 2 outputs)
- 1 Γ 6-way crossings (3 inputs + 3 outputs)
- 1 Γ 20-way crossing (10 inputs + 10 outputs, self 3d printed, see https://youtu.be/ipERA712vko)
- 200 Γ flexible rails
Total rail length: ~400 meters
Additionally, more than 28k LEGO pieces have been used for building the bridges, including
- 8k Γ 2x4 bricks
- 10.5k Γ 2x2 bricks
- 3.5k Γ 2x2 round bricks
- 5k Γ plates (2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 2x14, 2x16, 6x16, 8x16)
The suspension bridge is more than 4 meters long with a 2-meter span between support pillars. It features two stacked lanes, plus one additional lane attached below them. The train roadway is 33 bricks above ground for the middle lane.
The train elevator fits trains up to 2 meters length and covers three layers. Incoming trains are detected and the elevator gets called. Trains on the elevator may choose the destination by color coding, or a random Destination is chosen. More Information can be found here https://youtu.be/whg_i5e356Q
Automation (40 motors):
- Controlled by LEGO Mindstorms (5Γ 51515) and Powered Up hubs (6Γ Technic Hub, 3Γ City Hub)
- Switches respond automatically via infrared and distance sensors
- Powered Up hubs programmed with Pybricks: https://pybricks.com
- Code available: https://github.com/Tegowalik/LEGO-Switch-Controller
Multiple trains use two Powered Up motors:
