Winter Storm Camping in High Winds, Heavy Rain & Ice | Finding Shelter with the Hilleberg Nammatj 2
Join me on a late winter camping trip in the mountains. I originally planned this as my last chance to camp in the snow this season, with the original forecast calling for snowfall throughout the afternoon and evening. But as the trip approached, the weather took a dramatic turn. Instead of snow, the updated forecast warned of heavy rain and extreme winds. Adjusting my plans, I decided to head to a lower elevation spot I knew well. Even then, the conditions made it too difficult to reach my intended destination, and I had to find a much more sheltered location. In the end, it worked out perfectly. I found a great sheltered site to pitch the tent, cooked a tasty meal, and even woke up to a light dusting of snow and ice. Despite the challenges, it turned into an unforgettable trip, and a really great way to welcome the start of spring. Hope you enjoy the video!
